Film Geek

Thanks to the Queen, my Tuesday was free from school! Dominion at 11.20, Snow White and the Huntsman. 

This film was not great. The plot had a lot of holes and there were added, completely pointless scenes that were utterly unnecessary! At one point of humour, though, the Huntsman (Chris Hemsworth) shouted “Troll!!!” I couldn’t stop thinking about Troll Hunters (the idea of it, I haven’t seen it) and I just laughed for the rest of the pointless scene. 

Despite some pretty good actors being in this film, the actual acting wasn’t very good. I mean, I love Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron, but I think it was the actual story that made the whole film collapse. Shame really. 

All this was a let down because I was really looking forward to seeing this film. However, there is a regaining-film-credit-point! The special effects were amazing! The whole crow thing, and the mirror, and the warriors made of glass (or something like that), was all incredibly awesome! It was really cool! Again, there was an unnecessary scene in a fairy paradise place, but it was gorgeous! I was a bit freaked out, however, as a fairy came out of a mocking bird, and I was kind of freaked out…

Anyway… This is really a chid’s film, not young as there is a lot of violence, but not too far into their teens. A beautiful film that has a bad plot.
